Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of electrical contracting services by Russell Electrical ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By requesting a quote or engaging us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A quote is based on the information available and the scope agreed at the time. If the scope of work changes, or if additional work is required that could not reasonably have been foreseen, we will discuss this with you and agree any revised price before proceeding.

  • Prices are quoted in euro (€) and, where applicable, are subject to VAT.
  • Materials remain our property until paid for in full.
  • Any allowances or estimates for materials are indicative and may be adjusted to actual cost.

3. Carrying out the work

We will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care and in accordance with the current national wiring rules and applicable Irish regulations. We will agree a schedule with you and keep you informed of progress. Access to the property and a safe working environment must be provided.

4. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms are as set out on your quote or invoice. Invoices are payable by the due date stated. We reserve the right to request a deposit or staged payments on larger projects. Late payments may be subject to interest in line with applicable legislation.

5. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel or reschedule agreed work, please give us as much notice as possible. Where we have already incurred costs (for example, materials ordered specifically for your job), these may be charged to you. Statutory cancellation rights for consumers, where they apply, are not affected.

6. Workmanship and certification

On completion, we provide the appropriate certification for the work carried out. We stand over our workmanship. Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied equipment and materials. This does not cover faults arising from misuse, third-party alterations, or normal wear and tear.

7. Liability

We hold public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any matter that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.

8. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
